Why?
A few years ago, my younger brother Seth was diagnosed with Primary progressive MS, which is unfortunately the worst form of Multiple Sclerosis. By the time he had been diagnosed, treated, and his condition stabilized, he had impared functionality in his eyes and hands, and is paralyzed from the rib cage down.
He continues to have a fighting spirit, and we all believe one day he will walk again. |

|
Who?
Now that you've met Seth, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ed, and I'm not an athelete by any means. I just wanted to see if an ordinary, somewhat out-of-shape guy weighing two hundred and (cough)ty pounds could plan, train, and make the goal of a cross-state bike ride and help raise money to find the cure for MS. |

 |
What?
As mentioned previously, I'm not in good enough shape to warrant purchasing a "professional" bicycle that costs more than my first used car did. This is the bike I plan on using, and it's the $99 7-speed "comfort model" (with well padded seat, thank you) that you can get from your local store. It has an e-bike kit that was purchased on-line and added after the fact. |

When?
Starting Saturday, March 27th and ending before April 10th, 2010. Given that the farthest I can go in a day is about 50 miles, the plan is to break this into a ten traveling days during that time. As I make the trip, I'll update the website daily with where I'm at on the map. | |
